Patriots of a new era

Patriots of a New Era

Jan 20th 2009

The night before I like millions of America went to bed, hoping that we would wake up the next day and realize that all that has happened was just a dream, but we woke up the next day realizing it was a nightmare, and it has gotten worse everyday since, yes Dorothy we are no longer in Kansas.

The socialization of America to me is unacceptable, while the elite in Washington, (I am not calling them that, they believe that) sit back and spend money like we can go out back and dig up some more, sell us, our children and our grandchildren out, thinking they will all live in a utopia while we all bare the burden for them and the rest of America who choose to live off the Government while we work and pay for them and their mistakes, like we are a third world country blessed by ignorance

Well I for one am not going to set around and wait for a Government handout, it is time we shout from every corner every place we can get a chance to speak, living rooms, internet, television, newspapers, radio where ever there is a forum, every form of government must realize they work for us, not us for them.

We must take back what is ours, if you want the Government to run your life, please pack your bags, and move to France, or China, or Russia, I am sure we can raise enough money for one way tickets for all those who wish to become socialist, or maybe we can just give you all California, there is plenty of choices for the welfare state, but your not going to get my Country.

Do you not see where they are headed, if they can get you to depend on them for education, food, health care, a government check, you will have no desire to work, or fend for yourself, you will have no survival skills, your children will be taught what they want them to know, there will be no values, family, marriage, life, love will have no meaning. They will be ideas that are outdated, and no longer needed, that means your no longer needed, with a government health care system, you get sick and are no longer needed your euthanized, your experimented on with drugs not yet safe your expendable, children will become a luxury, a pure race, no children born sick will survive only a strong child will be able to live, if you think I am making this up, ask any one who lived in Germany under Hitler, or Russia under Stalin, this is the path they all took, your library will contain books that are government approved, your news will be state run you will to have a special card or tag to buy and sell, everything you know and now have will be gone, if they control the banks they control the money if the control the money they tell you how much you can make and spend, if you set back and let this happen shame on you.

My grandfather came over from Germany and many of you have had family or maybe yourselves just came here, it can and is happening now, this is a call to action, America needs Patriots to rise up and say enough is enough, she needs someone to defend her from our enemies within, and Keep America Free.

When Obama was sworn in he took an Oath to defend and preserve the Constitution of the United States, not to rewrite it and make it his own, he is failing to preserve our rights as Americans, attacking our 1st and 2nd amendment rights as we set by and let him, we must rise up and fight, for your family, your family, for America.

We need Patriots now who have had enough, are you ready to give your all? Every Soldier lives by a code if I am going to die, I want to die with my boots on, to go down in a blaze of glory, and that is the way I am going, it is a time,no holds bared no backing down, stop them where they are.

A copy of George's Farewell Address

George Washington the Father of our Nation gave a great speech as a final farewell, he published it in the newspapers, and gave America a lesson that still should be taught today, If any one should know how to run our Government it should be the men who framed the Declaration of Independence and wrote our Constitution, and set forth our system of government and we should learn from history that our leaders had it right and should heed their words of wisdom on Government and Morality, and that a people without Morals and a Government without morals will never make it. Maybe our outgoing and incoming leaders should set down and read the letter together, and figure out when and why our government went wrong. To read the letter in it’s entirety please go to this address,
http://www.csamerican.com/Doc.asp?doc=washfarewell#pt1

Why each President has left a mark on this Country, History is what keeps us in check and reminds us of our human form, there is probably no greater job known to man, than to be the leader of the United States of America, and no greater stress or thankless job either. I would like to thank each one that has served, and pray for them. I have not agreed with them on every issue, and neither have you, and that is what makes this a great Nation we can disagree and let our leaders know without fear. Mr. Bush as you leave office you are not a perfect man, nor am I, you have served our Country well, not perfect and time and history will be your Judge. May your days be filled with peace and life with joy once more, Mr. Obama your turn to Govern us is soon, May God be your guide and may you serve this Country with honesty and truth and with duty and honor putting your fellow Americans above political party.
R.Brian Kinnett

…….The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their constitutions of government. But the constitution which at any time exists until changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole people is sacredly obligatory upon all. The very idea of the power and the right of the people to establish government presupposes the duty of every individual to obey the established government
All obstructions to the execution of the laws, all combinations and associations, under whatever plausible character, with the real design to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction; to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community, and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans, digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests.
However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things to become potent engines by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people, and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.

Toward the preservation of your government and the permanency of your present happy state, it is requisite not only that you steadily discountenance irregular oppositions to its acknowledged authority, but also that you resist with care the spirit of innovation upon its principles, however specious the pretexts. One method of assault may be to effect in the forms of the Constitution alterations which will impair the energy of the system, and thus to undermine what can not be directly overthrown. In all the changes to which you may be invited remember that time and habit are at least as necessary to fix the true character of governments as of other human institutions; that experience is the surest standard by which to test the real tendency of the existing constitution of a country; the facility in changes upon the credit of mere hypothesis and opinion exposes to perpetual change, from the endless variety of hypothesis and opinion; and remember especially that for the efficient management of your common interests in a country so extensive as ours a government of as much vigor as is consistent with the perfect security of liberty is indispensable. Liberty itself will find in such a government, with powers properly distributed and adjusted, its surest guardian. It is, indeed, little else than a name where the government is too feeble to withstand the enterprises of faction, to confine each member of the society within the limits prescribed by the laws, and to maintain all in the secure and tranquil enjoyment of the rights of persons and property.
I have already intimated to you the danger of parties in the state, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discriminations. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party generally………
……Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.
It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one part against another; foments occasional riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passion. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.
There is an opinion that parties in free countries are useful checks upon the administration of the government, and serve to keep live the spirit of liberty. This within certain limits is probably true; and in governments of monarchical cast patriotism may look with indulgence, if not with favor, upon the spirit of party, but in those of the popular character, in governments purely elective, it is a spirit not to be encouraged. From their natural tendency it is certain there will always be enough of that spirit for every salutary purpose; and there being constant danger of excess, the effort ought to be by force of public opinion to mitigate and assuage it. A fire not to be quenched, it demands a uniform vigilance to prevent its bursting into a flame, lest, instead of warming, it should consume.
It is important, likewise, that the habits of thinking in a free country should inspire caution in those intrusted with its administration to confirm themselves within their respective constitutional spheres, avoiding the exercise of the powers of one department to encroach upon another. The spirit of encroachment tends to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one, and thus to create, whatever the form of government, a real despotism. A just estimate of that love of power and proneness to abuse it which predominates in the human heart is sufficient to satisfy us of the truth of this position. The necessity of reciprocal checks in the exercise of political power, by dividing and distributing it into different depositories, and constituting each the guardian of the public weal against invasions by others, has been evinced by experiments ancient and modern, some of them in our country and under our own eyes. To preserve them must be as necessary as to institute them. If in the opinion of the people the distribution or modification of the constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates, but let there be no change by usurpation; for though this in one instance may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed. The precedent must always greatly overbalance in permanent evil any partial or transient benefit which the use can at any time yield.
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness - these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked, Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice? And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.
It is substantially true that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government. The rule indeed extends with more or less force to every species of free government. Who that is a sincere friend to it can look with indifference upon attempts to shake the foundation of the fabric? Promote, then, as an object of primary importance, institutions for the general diffusion of knowledge. In proportion as the structure of a government gives force to public opinion, it is essential that public opinion should be enlightened.
As a very important source of strength and security, cherish public credit. One method of preserving it is to use it as sparingly as possible, avoiding occasions of expense by cultivating peace, but remembering also that timely disbursements to prepare for danger frequently prevent much greater disbursements to repel it; avoiding likewise the accumulation of debt, not only by shunning occasions of expense, but by vigorous exertions in time of peace to discharge the debts which unavoidable wars have occasioned, not ungenerously throwing upon posterity the burden which we ourselves ought to bear.
The execution of these maxims belongs to your representatives; but it is necessary that public opinion should cooperate. To facilitate to them the performance of their duty it is essential that you should practically bear in mind that toward the payment of debts there must be revenue; that to have revenue there must be taxes; that no taxes can be devised which are not more or less inconvenient and unpleasant; that the intrinsic embarrassment inseparable from the selection of the proper objects (which is always a choice of difficulties), ought to be a decisive motive for a candid construction of the conduct of the government in making it, and for a spirit of acquiescence in the measures for obtaining revenue which the public exigencies may at any time dictate.
Observe good faith and justice toward all nations. Cultivate peace and harmony with all. Religion and morality enjoin this conduct, and can it be that good policy does not equally enjoin it? It will be worthy of a free, enlightened, and at no distant period a great nation to give to mankind the magnanimous and too novel example of a people always guided by an exalted justice and benevolence.

The Politics of Politics

I was born in the 60s a couple of years after JFK was assassinated, and by the time I really knew what was going on , I saw Richard Nixon say goodbye to our Nation in the midst of Watergate, I saw Gerald Ford on TV Get shot at, and I saw Jimmy Carter weaken this Nation. As a teen I fell in love with Ronald Reagan’s ideas and wisdom and had the chance to vote for him in his second term, I saw George Bush Sr. take over the reigns of Ronald Reagan and promise no new taxes, and I saw Ross Perot help defeat him on his attempt to run for a second term. I saw Bill Clinton change this nation to what it is today, and take credit for a lot of things that Ronald Reagan did. And I have seen George W. Bush slowly age in office, and change some of his values and ideas, for the good of the country I do not know yet, none of us do.

The party of JFK died with him I believe, I read about the democratic party and see some of the things they have done, but JFK restored values to office, although he was not perfect, he I believe was a good man, and could have changed the democratic party and this nation if given the chance to lead a few more years. And I believe that the Republican Party died with Ronald Reagan. There are hardly any Conservatives on either side of the isle who are willing to speak the truth and stick to thier values. It seems that the politics of politics has taken our nation down a long and winding road, and we have lost our way. Folks want to talk about values, and say they are for things but really they are not, they want you to believe that they feel the same way you do, and want to change things and make it better, and create bills and laws that on the surface seem good but are paved with ideas to take away our rights one by one.

We are told what we want to hear and are shown what they want us to see, and blindly we follow. I am a conservative and my beliefs go deep, I write what is on my heart and try not to give lip service but take action, everything legal I can. Speak out, write our elected officials recruit people to stand up for their rights teach them so they know their rights and what they can and can’t do. I do not want the world to think as I do, I want to provoke ideas and thoughts and have us see why something is a good or bad idea that is how we all learn. I do not want people to tell me how I should feel or write or talk about or how I believe. I do not want to play the game The Politics of Politics.

How do you feel?

What are issues that are important to you?

What should we talk about?

What should we do to change course and get America back on track?

Why I am no longer a Republican

You wrote13 hours ago
Why I am not a Republican anymore
I have had some great talks with alot of you, and I am so glad to have such a fine set of new friends, and I know today that I am a far better person because of our candid words.

Back to the subject line.
In the world we live in now I truly believe that we can no longer be a United States of America. This past election and hinting from 2004 America is a divided Nation. It seems that this Nation is split along party lines, about 33% Republicans and 38% Democrats. That leaves about 29% who do not really like either party.

And the way the GOP has been the last couple of years it is really like a new party of liberal republicans.

This is not the party of Ronald Reagan, or Teddy Roosevelt, or Abraham Lincoln. I did not leave the G.O.P, it left me and millions of us behind when they changed thier value system.

I changed my affilation to independent awhile back in 2000 because I do not want to have my name tied into a belief system that I do not support, I know that I am not alone, because alot of you have told me the same thing, yes there is some core values there, that we share but they are being chipped away, slowly.

Right now you can't tell who is a Democrat or Republican unless they put an R or a D beside thier name and that bothers me, I hope it bothers you, enough to make you fighting mad.

I have alot of friends in the G.O.P some of them are lobbyist and some of them are campaigners for Governers,Senators and Congressman, and one thing they all say is that change is coming inside the party. Michelle you know what I am talking about you hinted to in a a message you sent, and to someone who is very Conservative like myself I will not like it. That means that most of you will not like it either.

The G.O.P wants to become more mainstream and not be a voice for Conservatism, they think that Conservatism values are dying, and that we will eventually go away and be such a minority voice that no one will listen. Well they are wrong because Conservatives are gaining ground and the powers to be do not like it, they want to squash the uprising of us standing our ground.

Margaret Hoover a couple weeks ago was talking on the O'Rielly Factor about Prop 8 in California and told Bill that most of the up and coming in the G.O.P think that Gay marriage is acceptable and will eventually help get it passed, that has stuck me like a knife, because my friends who are in the G.O.P have been saying for a couple of years and you can see it is coming more to light and will probably be the law of the land. This is not the only issue, all of thier core values are being changed.

We have lost prayer in school, saying the pledge, protecting the unborn, keeping the flag from being burned, gun rights, land rights, smoking rights, and now we have lost Private industry such as Banking,Insurance, and the Auto industry. And with our New President and Harry and Nancy in charge they are going to jack up our health care, social security, our Defense, and on and on.

With the Republicans in High office and the Dems controlling the legislature we have been stretched, but now with the Dems controlling both I believe this Nation will break.

I ask you all to give me feedback on this, am I alone do you feel the same way? Do you think the G.O.P stand for traditional values, are they still conservatives? Have they sold us out? What can we do now to change it? Do we need to start a Conservative Party?

Conservative does mean more than abortion rights and gun rights there are lots of issues that need covered.

If we do not get the word out who will?

Who is going to fill the shoes of Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln,Teddy Roosevelt, John Adams,Thomas Jefferson,Ben Franklin,George Washington.

We need to get to those who still have a core value of Conservatism, pray for our Country and have God Bless America again.

I posted some of my beliefs in my Open Letter to the GOP and all Conservatives. You can still read it on Keep America Free on Facebook. And I have had wonderful feedback from folks all over the world, I put it on Townhall and recieved great response from there also.

What do we really believe in the DNC or the RNC? Or do you believe in the American People?
Is there any hope for the G.O.P? Who will lead us?

I pray we have HOPE, and Faith and a new leader will rise up and set this Nation back on course. Lets find that leader, and propell them to top and lead us out of the wilderness we have been in since 1988. I myself cannott take another 20 years of this.

America the way Ronald Reagan told me it should be.

I was reading Ronald Reagan’s acceptance speech from 1984 and it helped believe in this Country again, who we are, where we came from and that as long as we have the very breathe of life left in us, Freedom will never die.

The following is copied from His speech, although I did rearrange it.

“We came together in a national crusade to make America great again, and to make a new beginning, The poet called Miss Liberty's torch led the way the "lamp beside the golden door." Well, that was the entrance to America, and it still is.

The glistening hope of that lamp is still ours. Every promise, every opportunity is still golden in this land. And through that golden door our children can walk into tomorrow with the knowledge that no one can be denied the promise that is America. Her heart is full; her door is still golden, her future bright. She has arms big enough to comfort and strong enough to support, for the strength in her arms is the strength of her people. She will carry us unafraid, unashamed, and unsurpassed.

We don't celebrate dependence day on the Fourth of July. We celebrate Independence Day. We celebrate the right of each individual to be recognized as unique, possessed of dignity and the sacred right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. At the same time, with our independence goes a generosity of spirit more evident here than in almost any other part of the world. Recognizing the equality of all men and women, we're willing and able to lift the weak, cradle those who hurt, and nurture the bonds that tie us together as one nation under God.

We believe in the uniqueness of each individual. We believe in the sacredness of human life. For some time now we've all fallen into a pattern of describing our choice as left or right. It's become standard rhetoric in discussions of political philosophy. But is that really an accurate description of the choice before us?

Go back a few years to the origin of the terms and see where left or right would take us if we continued far enough in either direction. Stalin. Hitler. One would take us to Communist totalitarianism; the other to the totalitarianism of Hitler.

Isn't our choice really not one of left or right, but of up or down? Down through the welfare state to statism, to more and more government largesse accompanied always by more government authority, less individual liberty and, ultimately, totalitarianism, always advanced as for our own good. The alternative is the dream conceived by our Founding Fathers, up to the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with an orderly society.

When we talk of the plight of our cities, what would help more than our enterprise zones bill, which provides tax incentives for private industry to help rebuild and restore decayed areas in 75 sites all across America? If they really wanted a future of boundless new opportunities for our citizens, why have they buried enterprise zones over the years in committee?

Our opponents are openly committed to increasing our tax burden.

We are committed to stopping them, and we will.

Our tax policies are and will remain prowork, progrowth, and profamily. We intend to simplify the entire tax system—to make taxes more fair, easier to understand, and, most important, to bring the tax rates of every American further down, not up. Now, if we bring them down far enough, growth will continue strong; the underground economy will shrink; the world will beat a path to our door; and no one will be able to hold America back; and the future will be ours

Is there any doubt that they will raise our taxes?

That they will send inflation into orbit again?

That they will make government bigger then ever?

And deficits even worse?

Raise unemployment?

Cut back our defense preparedness?

Raise interest rates?

Make unilaterial and unwise concessions to the World?

And they'll do all that in the name of compassion.

It's what they've done to America in the past. But if we do our job right, they won't be able to do it again.

As we ask for their help, we should also answer the central question of public service: Why are we here? What do we believe in? Well for one thing, we're here to see that government continues to serve the people and not the other way around. Yes, government should do all that is necessary, but only that which is necessary. We Come together in a national crusade to make America great again, and to make a new beginning

We don't lump people by groups or special interests. And let me add, in the party of Lincoln, there is no room for intolerance and not even a small corner for anti-Semitism or bigotry of any kind. Many people are welcome in our house, but not the bigots.

Finally, we're here to shield our liberties, not just for now or for a few years but forever.”

We proclaimed a dream of an America that would be "a shining city on a hill."

I do believe we are that shining city on a hill that one voice can make a difference, and that if we come together not as republicans but as Americans we can help this country get back on course, we are Americans, and it is our duty to fight for all we are, for all we have and have been given, to stick to our morals and values to exercise our rights. No government should tell us how to spend our money, who we should give it to, how we should worship, if we can own guns, no government should be able to exercise eminent domaine over our very lives. I believe in an America that is free . It is time that the American People stand up and fight and no longer set idle as the winds of change push us out to sea to a deserted island called liberalism.

An Open Letter To All Conservatives

An Open Letter to the GOP, and to all elected officials.

I am an American who wishes to keep this Country Free, I believe the United States of America is the Greatest Country in the world, and that our forefathers believed in God and Country, that the Constitution was written for the average person and that it is filled with Truths that all Men and Women are created equal, that every American is protected under the Constitution and our Bill of rights.

I do believe we should help the world when called upon, to defend the freedoms of others, to teach them how to farm and build and cultivate a social structure where all are free and become self sufficient.

I Do Not Support the U.N and I wish it to leave American Soil and disband, I believe it is a society of greedy and selfish people who wish to rule the world. And that it is useless, that it should pay back the money it owes the American Tax payer apologize and leave immediately.

I do not discriminate based on Race, Sex, or Religious beliefs. I believe that every American is equal and should be given opportunities to succeed. I believe we are a Republic, and OUR Government is for the People and by the People.

I believe in Free Enterprise, that every American should have the opportunity to make something better for them, and their families, that Government should not give hand outs but a hand up.

I believe that Big Government disables people to work and provide for themselves to earn a living, to miss the reward of a day’s labor by providing for themselves or their family. That the government takes too much from those who do work and gives to those who won’t work.

I believe that every American should have freedom of speech, but I also believe that words are different than actions.

I believe that every American should have the right to bear arms, and to be able to defend themselves and to provide for their family by hunting if they so choose.

I believe that are Judicial system needs fixed, we have a system where the criminal has more rights than the victim; I believe that punishment should fit the crime.

I believe that we need a strong defense, and a very strong military presence. That we do not accept acts of terror whether foreign or domestic as a passing phase but that we strike it down now and with full force.

I believe that every American should be protected and that abortion is murder that life begins at conception, I believe in the case of rape the lady should be given all choices available to her but with care and love and guidance, if abortion is the final result then she would make an educated choice not an emotional one. I believe that pro choice stops when two people consent.

I believe that we cannot take God out of our Country any more, we need laws and morality to help mold and govern our society that without God we will become a dead and chaotic society in a barren wasteland of what we used to be.

I believe in the sanctity of marriage between One Man and One Woman, if you choose to have a different lifestyle, that is your choice. I do not have to agree with you anymore than you have to agree with me.

I believe that we need to disband the IRS and make our tax code simple, we do not need to spend taxpayer money on the study of snail slime, or on outrageous prices for equipment or bridges to nowhere, if you cannot use our money wisely then leave it to us.

I believe that to whom much is given much is required, that we as fellow Americans should help one another, through our religious organizations and charities not through the Government, we know how to redistribute our money on causes we believe in, not what the Government believes in, I believe that people who Govern should be transparent in all they do.

I believe that God gave us enough natural resources to be self sufficient that we do not need to depend on any other country for our needs of energy, or food or defense. I believe it is time our Government started paying attention to us the American People and stop worrying what the world thinks, we are who you work for.

We are those people who pay your salaries, your healthcare, your transportation, your housing, your fuel, your food, your clothing, your education bills while we cannot pay our own, we are fed up with those of you who have sold us out, we want results from those who we put in office. There are millions of us who believe the same  way, and want our voice heard we are not going away, but are getting stronger and want our voice heard. Please stand up and speak shout from the mountains top we shall be heard.
